Anti-terrorism court sends Hammad Azhar to jail on judicial remand in Lahore
An anti-terrorism court in Lahore sent PTI leader Hammad Azhar to jail on judicial remand on Tuesday after rejecting a police request for further physical custody.

Police sought extended physical remand
The investigating officer requested additional time to hold the suspect in police custody. This request was made so that authorities could conduct a polygraph test on Azhar.
Court rejected physical remand request
Judge Sardar Muhammad Akram Khan denied the application for further physical remand. The judge instead ordered that Azhar remain in judicial custody at the jail.
Defense argued against polygraph test
Azhar's lawyer stated that a lie detector test requires the suspect's consent. Barrister Abuzar Salman Niazi noted that the procedure must follow specific Lahore High Court judgments regarding judicial remand.
