Legal status and supply chain issues

The United Kingdom legalised medicinal cannabis after parental pressure regarding children with epilepsy. Despite this change, Louis Petit has never received a prescription through the NHS. His only access to the drug has come from the expensive private sector.

Bankruptcy of primary supplier

Bedrocan, the Dutch company that produces Bedrolite oil, has declared bankruptcy. This development creates a high chance that patients will soon lose access to their treatment. Louis assumed his medical troubles were resolved when he returned to Britain in 2022.
