Tharparkar students dominate Sindh MDCAT top rankings while Karachi candidates lag
Results for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test in Sindh have been released showing strong performance from Tharparkar candidates.
Tharparkar students lead top lists
Five students from Tharparkar secured positions within the top 20 of the exam results. No candidate from Karachi appeared in this upper tier of the rankings. Twelve students from the district placed in the top 50, representing 24% of that list.
Karachi pass rate remains higher
A total of 18 candidates from Karachi qualified for the top 100 positions. The city recorded an overall pass rate of 57.8% compared to Tharparkar's 59.7%. Nine thousand five hundred and five candidates from Karachi took the test.
Exam statistics across districts
A total of 33,336 candidates appeared for the MDCAT across Sindh province. Sixteen thousand five hundred and seven students passed the examination to gain admission eligibility. The IBA Sukkur authority conducted the test for public and private medical colleges.
