Common conditions among youths

The head of an independent review identified anxiety, depression, self-harm and eating disorders as the most common issues. Prof Peter Fonagy stated these problems are affecting a growing number of young people today.

Young ambassadors support findings

Catherine Burns spoke with mental health ambassadors who agreed with the report conclusions. These young advocates called for an increase in available mental health support services.

Review ordered by former secretary

The government review was commissioned nine months ago by Wes Streeting after he claimed young people were over-diagnosed. His previous comments suggested that current generations were being written off too easily.
