Meeting at a crowded festival

The couple first met in 2010 while both were living in Sydney and already in relationships. Anthony traveled to Dubrovnik for a holiday and intentionally attended a summer festival with 20,000 attendees hoping to see Zara again. He spotted her dancing naked on a rock near the sea without music playing.

Hiding a medical condition

Anthony kept a secret diagnosis from his partner for five years before finally deciding to share it. He feared the revelation might damage their relationship but chose to trust that her love would remain strong. The couple now says this difficult conversation brought them closer together instead of tearing them apart.

Sharing a love story

The pair describes Zara as having a childlike energy and curiosity that Anthony fell in love with immediately. They spoke at the beach during their initial encounter but did not exchange phone numbers at that time. Their narrative is part of a series exploring different forms of love including romantic and platonic connections.
