Kenzie Riddle meets singer Benson Boone at Brisbane concert
Northern NSW schoolgirl Kenzie Riddle met American singer Benson Boone on stage during his first Australian show in Brisbane last night.
Viral video leads to meeting
Kenzie, a year seven student from Kingscliff facing her second cancer battle, filmed a video with friends and singer Fergus Hogan. The clip featured her singing his hit song Beautiful Things and was viewed more than 600,000 times on Instagram. Boone saw the video and brought Kenzie and her friends onto the stage at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
Birthday wish comes true
Kenzie had asked for only one present for her 13th birthday, which turned out to be meeting her idol. She joined Boone on stage to perform his song as part of an emotional finale to the concert. Kenzie described Boone as super cool and noted that he is great at backflips.
