Seminar highlights pollution dangers

Organizers held the event at Sindh Agriculture University to discuss local wastewater solutions. Officials stated that discharging raw domestic waste and industrial effluents exposes downstream populations to contaminated water sources. This practice also puts aquatic life and public health at significant risk.

Research project seeks fixes

The Department of Energy and Environment launched this initiative under a Sindh Higher Education Commission grant. The program aims to create affordable treatment methods for rural areas while promoting safe water reuse. Experts noted that current total dissolved solids levels in the Indus require further scientific study.
