England agrees to cover AstraZeneca breast cancer drug Enhertu
English health authorities agreed on Thursday to fund the AstraZeneca breast cancer drug Enhertu for patients in England.

Women with metastatic breast cancer and low HER2 protein levels will now receive the treatment. This decision extends access to an estimated 1,000 people across the region. The agreement follows a pact reached late last year between U.S. and U.K. health agencies.
Pricing thresholds increased
A U.K. health agency raised the limits for what counts as a cost-effective medicine under the National Health Service. This change allows payment for Enhertu, which is classified as an antibody-drug conjugate. Scotland has already covered the drug since 2023 while twenty-six other European nations also pay for it.
