Transaction value and scope

The health insurer confirmed the deal is valued at $2.8 billion. This transaction involves a network of 150 clinics focused on Medicare Advantage patients.

Private equity exit timing

Welsh Carson has held its investment for more than six years since the initial entry. The firm contributed at least $1.8 billion to the venture starting in 2020 before selling out.

Future operational plans

Humana stated the funds will support current operations and allow for new clinic openings. The company also intends to use capital for other strategic acquisitions over the next two years.
