Arthur Plummer cycles thousands of kilometres annually despite past crash and health issues

Arthur Plummer bought a secondhand bicycle when he retired from work at age 65. He subsequently joined a cycling club for seniors in Waterloo, Ontario, where he became one of the youngest members.
His current yearly distance is high
Plummer has now become the oldest member of the club while riding thousands of kilometres each year. His odometer shows 4,270km for this year so far, and he plans to ride another 40km after their conversation.
Cycling helped him regain mobility
The rider developed polymyalgia rheumatica in his late 80s which caused pain and made walking difficult. He returned to cycling when he felt trapped in a wheelchair, allowing him to move again.
