Vivienne Dawes reunites with iconic 1978 dance photo in Wolverhampton
Vivienne Dawes has reunited with a famous photograph of herself dancing at Wolverhampton's Culture Centre taken in 1978.

Photograph becomes global icon decades later
The image captured by Chris Steele-Perkins shows Dawes among young people enjoying reggae music. It has since become one of the photographer's most recognised works and appeared in exhibitions worldwide. The picture will now be displayed at the Grand theatre in its home city.
Dancer recalls feeling transported to another planet
Dawes stated she had no awareness that the camera was rolling while she danced. She remembered the atmosphere inside the venue and how the music made them feel free from pain. The group felt like they were on another planet during that night of dancing.
