Band plays punk hits with energy

Bassist Mickey Bradley described the 1978 single Teenage Kicks as the group's first record. The band played 30 songs during a 90-minute performance that included tracks from their initial albums. Drummer Billy Doherty maintained a fast pace throughout the set.

Audience shows emotional connection to music

Many audience members hugged when the band finished playing Teenage Kicks. The crowd consisted of silver-haired fans who have supported the group for nearly 50 years. The performance featured elements of punk humour and new-wave surrealism.

Setlist covers early album material

Songs such as You've Got My Number and Male Model were included in the lineup. The set also featured Runaround and Jimmy Jimmy from their first two records. The group moved quickly to the next song after finishing each track.
