Content boundaries for Pumpkinhead adaptation

Filmmaker Jem Garrard and Tubi vice president Josh Van Houdt discussed the limits of violence allowed in their version of Pumpkinhead. They decided that vegetable gore was acceptable while regular blood would not be shown on screen. The production team confirmed these rules during a major discussion about the R.L. Stine brand.

Future projects include Afraid of Clowns

The streamer plans to bring Pumpkinhead and its sequel to the screen alongside other titles like Afraid of Clowns. Tubi also intends to adapt The Babysitter for its upcoming slate of original scripted content. These stories move beyond the page to explore what happens when books make the leap to film.
