Swift compares characters to their friendship

During a Q&A session with Toy Story 5 director Andrew Stanton, Swift explained how the movie helped her connect with Anderson. She noted that the relationship between characters Bonnie and Blaze mirrors her own dynamic with Anderson. The two bonded over the film when they were teenagers in Nashville.

Anderson shares physical similarities to Blaze

Swift pointed out that Anderson has curly hair, just like the character Blaze voiced by Mykal-Michelle Harris. She recalled moving to Nashville at age 14 and searching for friends who felt cool and nice. Finding Anderson provided a sense of belonging for the new kid in school.
