Taylor Swift received the most awards at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night in Los Angeles.

The singer surpassed Beyoncé to hold the title of most-awarded artist with a total of 31 wins. She received the inaugural Artist Director Honors, which brought her career total to that number. Previously, she was tied with the other artist at 30 awards each.

Swift won video of the year for her track The Fate of Ophelia from her 2025 album. She dedicated this top honor to the late Dolly Parton during her acceptance speech. The ceremony also saw Madonna named artist of the year and win best collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter.
