Taylor Swift album returns to number one with new Encore edition
Taylor Swift's 'The Life of a Showgirl' reached the top of the Billboard 200 chart this week following the release of an expanded digital version.
Chart position restored after January drop
The album reclaimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 after leaving that position in January. This achievement marks the 13th week the record has spent at the top of the list.
New tracks drive streaming numbers
The expanded edition titled 'The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore' includes four new bonus tracks. Most of the 173,000 equivalent units came from streaming these specific songs rather than physical sales.
Digital download limits physical copies
Swift has not yet put physical copies of the expanded set up for sale. Album sales accounted for 21,000 of the overall total while digital downloads made up the rest.
