Production resumes for season six

Variety confirmed that filming has restarted without Taylor Frankie Paul during the initial phase. Cast member Mikayla Matthews announced her departure from the show on September 14 following news of Paul's return. She stated in social media posts that her exit was a direct result of being told Paul would be coming back.

Legal issues caused previous delays

Production halted in March after police investigated domestic violence allegations between Paul and ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen. The couple has exchanged mutual restraining orders and is currently fighting for custody of their son Ever. No criminal charges have been filed regarding the ongoing legal battle between the two individuals.

Hulu declined to comment

The streaming service Hulu did not provide a statement when asked about Paul's involvement in the upcoming season. Variety gathered this information from multiple sources rather than an official press release from the network. Matthews implied that her decision to quit was connected to the news of Paul returning.
