Sylvester Stallone regrets performing his own stunts after decades of injuries
Sylvester Stallone told Fox News Digital in a recent interview that he has millions of regrets about doing his own stunts and considers himself an idiot for continuing.

Stallone describes severe physical damage
The actor stated he has suffered thirty hours worth of individual injuries that have compounded over time. He listed nine back operations, three neck fusions, and damage to both shoulders as well as his eye. Stallone noted that these surgeries mean he has never been quite the same since the procedures.
Specific incident caused major harm
During filming for The Expendables in 2010, a scene with Steve Austin resulted in dislocated shoulders and a fractured neck. This specific accident required more than seven back surgeries and the insertion of a metal plate into his neck. Stallone said he needed spinal fusions to address the damage sustained during that tackle.
Actor advises against risky stunts
Stallone now tells others not to be showboats or stage hawks when working on action films. He explicitly advised people thinking about doing their own stunts to let professionals handle the work instead. The actor emphasized that one cannot beat gravity and warned against taking such risks.
