Soderbergh steps in to help

Steven Soderbergh approached Matt Reeves with an offer of assistance after the director stepped away from the set. A studio representative confirmed that Soderbergh will work with the existing team to generate footage for the final weeks of production. This arrangement has the full support of DC Studios and Warner Bros.

Remote collaboration plan details

Soderbergh intends to operate out of London while Reeves remains based in Los Angeles. The two directors will coordinate from a distance until post-production begins later in the year. Soderbergh stated his goal is to create material that integrates seamlessly with what has already been shot.

Production status and timeline

The film is currently reported to be about two thirds done before the production pause occurred. Principal photography was temporarily halted in early October while Reeves focused on his personal situation. The project aims to resume filming soon to meet its scheduled release date.
