Sony Pictures sets 2027 release dates for Treasure Island and 24 Jump Street
Sony Pictures has announced November and December 2027 theatrical release dates for Ridley Scott's Treasure Island and the comedy sequel 24 Jump Street.
Treasure Island arrives in November
Ridley Scott will direct the adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel with a screenplay by Jack Thorne. Hugh Jackman stars as Blackbeard alongside Owen Cooper and Hugh Grant in this feature film. The movie is scheduled to open in theaters on November 11, 2027.
Jump Street sequel follows in December
The third installment of the Jump Street franchise will launch theatrically one month later on December 10, 2027. Returning stars Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum and Ice Cube are set to appear in Rodney Rothman's directorial debut. Phil Lord and Chris Miller return as producers for this new chapter in the series.
Other Sony titles get dates
Sony also assigned a release date for Roshan Sethi's thriller The Surgeon to April 2, 2027. Michelle Yeoh leads the cast of that project which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Additionally, Helldivers has been moved to June 9, 2028 after its original November date was changed.
