Sesame Street turns Chappell Roan song into potty training anthem

Sesame Street released a new video transforming Chappell Roan's track Hot to Go into the potty-training song Got to Go.

New version features Cookie Monster vocals

The newly released video presents a note-for-note rendition of the original song. Lead vocals are provided by the character known as Cookie Monster. The production includes chanted middle sections performed by Elmo and Abby Cadabby.

Song title spelled with singing letters

Instead of hand gestures, the video displays singing letters that spell out the word POTTY. Cookie Monster delivers lines in his trademark broken English regarding body needs. The adaptation continues the show's long history of musical guest performances.

Adaptation follows fifty year tradition

This project marks another entry in a half-century-long tradition of legendary musical guests on the program. Previous examples include Stevie Wonder and Tony Bennett performing modified versions of their hits. The show combines education, musicality, and humor in this latest release.
