Saoirse Ronan addressed rumors about her husband Jack Lowden being cast as James Bond in an interview with the Associated Press on Sunday.

Ronan dismisses speculation about role

Ronan told the Associated Press that Gary Oldman believes Lowden is a candidate for the part. She stated that the couple does not discuss casting rumors at home. Ronan said they are focused on daily tasks like walking their dog and making dinner.

Oldman confirms Lowden on shortlist

Gary Oldman previously told Canada's The Morning Show that Lowden is on the shortlist for the role. He noted that production has made a choice but has not announced it yet. Oldman added that he is crossing his fingers for Lowden to get the job.

Actor continues filming Slow Horses

Ronan mentioned that Lowden is currently having a good time while filming new episodes of Slow Horses. The show is airing its sixth season on Apple TV at this time. Ronan emphasized that the couple has plenty of other things to deal with besides Bond rumors.
