The Saban Community Clinic will host its 50th anniversary gala on October 26 at the Beverly Hills Hotel to honor Peter Friedlander and David Nevins.
Event details and honorees
The milestone event is chaired by Netflix executive Bela Bajaria and philanthropist Ellen Hoberman. Aloe Blacc will perform at the dinner, while Alex Edelman has been tapped to host the proceedings. Connie Britton is scheduled to make an appearance during the evening.
Awards for television leaders
Peter Friedlander will receive a Friends Leadership Award after one year at Amazon MGM Studios. David Nevins is set to take home the Lenny Somberg Volunteer Award following his previous roles at Showtime and Paramount.
Clinic history and service
Although the gala marks a 50-year milestone, the organization itself celebrates 60 years of service in Los Angeles. The clinic was founded in 1967 as the Los Angeles Free Clinic with an entirely volunteer staff.
