Initial meeting at Pattinson home

Singh spent years believing his work lacked commercial appeal before receiving an invitation from Pattinson. The two discussed Primetime, a spec script about Chris Hansen that many producers had previously declined to read.

Character development during discussion

Pattinson suggested ideas for the character while Singh took notes in the actor's bathroom. Their conversation shifted the project from a political thriller toward a more mystical portrait of Hansen.

Director and production status

Singh and director Lance Oppenheim left the house after the meeting concluded. Pattinson agreed to produce the film but initially declined to play the lead role himself.
