Twenty-one children attending Port Hedland's School of the Air worked with Josh Arnold on the project. The group spent two days camping at Yarrie Station to film a music video and record their track. Tanami Fox-Coppin, a nine-year-old student, noted that her classmates usually see each other only three times a year.

Recording takes place on cattle station

The production team met at Yarrie Station, which operates as a 250,000-hectare cattle property located roughly 1,500 kilometres north of Perth. Students completed their schoolwork in various locations including under trees and next to station offices while recording the audio. This collaboration produced a song titled Kids from the Pilbara that highlights rural education experiences.
