Festival audience learns casting secret

The surprise screening at the Royal Festival Hall ended a guessing game for attendees. Director Peter Farrelly appeared on stage to discuss the project with the crowd. He explained that the script was written by Peter Gamble and mirrors the original film.

Actor filmed scenes in basement

Anthony Ippolito shot three scenes inside his grandmother's basement in Long Island before the team began a nationwide search for Stallone. Farrelly stated that he saw an audition tape and decided immediately to cast the young actor. The production follows the tumultuous history of the 1976 boxing movie that won three Oscars.

Director compares reality to fiction

Farrelly noted that the story is unbelievable because it depicts real events rather than fiction. He joked about how ridiculous Ippolito was and suggested a TED Talk could explain his talent. The filmmaker emphasized that this reality surpasses the fictional narrative of Rocky.
