Saulnier credits the late star

Jeremy Saulnier said Stewart swooped down into their cruddy ass movie and saved them from cancellation. The director described the actor as a true gentleman who had plenty of other opportunities available to him. Stewart died at age 86 one day before the anniversary screening took place.
