Nielsen streaming ratings show horror titles dominate mid-October charts
Nielsen reported that Halloween-themed shows and movies led US streaming viewership in the middle of October.

Horror series lead the rankings
Netflix's Below replaced Prime Video's Carrie at the top spot for the week. The horror prequel Crystal Lake debuted on Peacock and entered the top five list. Both titles featured significant horror or thriller elements in their content.
Classic films return to charts
Disney+ hosted annual returns for Hocus Pocus and The Nightmare Before Christmas during this period. These older movies ranked fifth and seventh among all films on the platform. Ben Affleck's Animals remained number one on the movie chart for a second week.
New seasons drive viewership
The Diplomat premiered its fourth season to become the biggest new show of the week. A new season of Love Is Blind also returned to the rankings with high viewing numbers. East of Eden tied with Love Is Blind for 600 million minutes of total viewing.
