Duffer Brothers Move to Paramount

Matt and Ross Duffer announced they were joining Paramount last August for a four-year exclusive deal covering film and television. They officially completed the switch in April after working with Netflix for a decade without wanting to make more TV shows.

Shawn Levy Joins Disney Television

Director Shawn Levy is leaving his ten-year tenure at Netflix to join Disney's 20th Television. His new production deal through 21 Laps Entertainment begins next October while he directs Star Wars: Starfighter for Lucasfilm.

Netflix Retains Franchise Rights

Sarandos stated that Netflix still owns the Stranger Things franchise and plans to continue producing content within that universe. He expressed support for the creators pursuing big tentpole theatrical movies instead of additional television series.
