Netflix Animation Studios launched a new office in Vancouver earlier this year with more than 450 staff members.

The company opened its 110,600-square-foot facility to support the city's expanding animation sector. Amir Nasrabadi, the chief operating officer, stated that Vancouver has served as a home for the studio for over a decade. He noted that the local talent pool allowed the operation to grow significantly in recent years.
Local Talent Drives Success
Most of the new hires were recruited from within the local community. The Vancouver team previously led animation work on Adam Sandler's film Leo and is now developing Steps, the studio's first fully in-house feature. Other major animation outfits like Sony Pictures Imageworks and Disney also maintain offices in the city.

Netflix produces its films using a single studio approach across all three of its locations. The executive expressed pride in supporting the development of the local animation industry. This expansion highlights the vibrant creative environment available to artists working today.
