Netflix adds Codenames Party with new Party Mode for subscribers
Netflix Games has launched Codenames Party, a word association title featuring a new Party Mode for streaming subscribers.
How players join the game
Subscribers can start playing by scanning a QR code on their mobile devices. No extra hardware or controllers are required to access the action.
Available game modes and rules
The title includes the classic team mode where two teams rotate through Spymaster duties. A version called Case Studies lets players guess from pre-made word sets without their own spymasters. Party Mode removes the team angle so each person creates a single clue for eight unique words.
Scoring system details
Participants earn points by correctly guessing words from other gamers sets. Players also score when their own code words are identified by the rest of the group during their turn.
