Neil Jordan discusses restoring Interview with the Vampire to 4K
Director Neil Jordan spoke with Variety about restoring his film Interview with the Vampire to 4K and discussing deleted scenes.
Restoration process details
The movie is now available on 4K UHD Blu-ray thirty-two years after its original release. Jordan stated that scanning the film frame by frame allows them to restore it to the way they originally shot it.

The new edition includes never-before-seen deleted scenes and two special features discussing cinematography and set design. One feature showcases the detailed sets, augmented locations, and costumes used during production.
Jordan on past viewing
The director noted that he last saw the film on the 25th anniversary when visibility was poor due to degraded prints or low lighting. He expressed gladness that the restoration exists so audiences can see the movie as intended.
