Venue atmosphere reflects singer style

The Roundhouse venue was decorated with red velvet curtains and fringe lampshades. The audience wore winged eyeliner, leopard print, and big hair to match the tribute theme. Mark Ronson told the crowd they were in Amy Winehouse's house for the night.

Lineup features female vocalists

Producers Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi assembled an all-female lineup of eleven acts. Performers included Jorja Smith, Jessie Reyez, Lianne La Havas, and Corinne Bailey Rae. The group backed themselves with the Amy Winehouse Band members who previously played with her.

TV broadcast interrupts live flow

The main event was staged primarily for a BBC TV show recording. Onstage interviews and commentary from Jo Whiley broke the natural flow of the performance. Critics noted that re-enactments of the album songs can feel limiting without the original singer.
