Morten Tyldum to direct live-action The Little Prince film with Simon Beaufoy writing script
Director Morten Tyldum and screenwriter Simon Beaufoy are developing a new live-action feature about Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in partnership with Le Petit Prince Groupe.

Production team and creative vision
The project combines the real-life story of the French aviator with the fantastical world of his famous book. Visual effects will be used to create the Little Prince while Saint-Exupéry's life unfolds in live action. Tyldum describes the film as an epic story exploring themes of love, grief, loss, and hope.
Source material and development partners
Simon Beaufoy is adapting elements from Joann Sfar's graphic book adaptation alongside Saint-Exupéry's biography. The film is being developed by Aton Soumache, the producer behind the 2015 animated version that won a César award.
