Director develops new project

Mike Caron, known for directing episodes of Henry Danger and Danger Force, launched Mike Caron Productions in 2022. He acquired the rights to Sara Coven's award-winning book through his new company. The adaptation will be written by Sean Lavery, who previously worked on Cougar Town.

Story explores bullying themes

The narrative follows seventh graders dealing with friendship and the consequences of their choices in the 1990s. Caron stated he wanted to explore the subject of bullying in a deeper format for a feature-length story. He described the independently published novel as having rare raw authenticity.
