Michael Douglas says Jack Nicholson has disappeared but is well
Actor Michael Douglas told fans at a recent memoir promotion event that Jack Nicholson has retired but remains healthy.
Douglas confirms Nicholson status
Michael Douglas stated during his book tour that Nicholson is no longer working in the industry. The actor described seeing his friend walking around his home in slippers recently. Douglas added that Nicholson deserves this break because he is older than himself.
Nicholsons last film role
The Oscar winner has not appeared in a movie since How Do You Know was released in 2010. His daughter Lorraine shared a birthday photo of him clapping and smiling next to Joni Mitchell. She posted the image on Instagram without specifying when it was taken.
Shared history between stars
Douglas produced One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest in 1975 where Nicholson played Randle McMurphy. That film received nine Oscar nominations and won five awards including best actor for Nicholson. The two men never shared a screen together despite their professional connection.
