Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy depart Warner Bros after Paramount merger
Warner Bros. film chiefs Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy will leave the studio when the Paramount Skydance merger closes on Oct. 6.
New leadership structure confirmed
David Ellison's new management team will include former Mattel CEO Ynon Kreiz as co-CEO alongside Ellison himself. Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein from Paramount are expected to oversee both movie studios in the combined entity. Casey Bloys is anticipated to lead all streaming efforts after Cindy Holland exits her role.
Previous box office results
The outgoing leaders guided the studio through recent successes like the Minecraft Movie and Ryan Coogler's Sinners. However, their tenure also included expensive misfires such as The Bride and Digger which tracked to low opening numbers. Warner Bros. previously set an all-time record with 11 Academy Awards from 30 nominations last year.
