Mark Mortimer, an actor best known for his role in the soap opera Another World, died on September 23 at age 59 after a battle with cancer.

Career and military service

Mortimer began his acting career in 1996 with a role as Nick Hudson. He appeared in 81 episodes of the series over three years before guest starring on Spin City in 1999. In addition to acting, he served in the United States Army and worked as a model.

Family and foundation work

His family stated that his most important titles were husband and father. He is survived by his wife Christie, their daughter Hunter, and several other relatives. In 2024, he and his wife created the Integrative Access Foundation to help people access cancer therapies.

Business ventures and passing

Mortimer founded Inside Out Construction and was diagnosed with cancer in 2024. He passed away after fighting the illness for a period of time. His obituary described him as curious, determined, and willing to take chances.
