Mahershala Ali hides his two Oscars in a cabinet during London festival
Actor Mahershala Ali discussed his career and new film at the BFI London Film Festival on Saturday.
Storage for Academy Awards
Ali stated that he keeps his two Oscar statues inside a cabinet. He said he cannot see them right now because he felt too accomplished by looking at them. The actor explained that moving the awards out of his sightline helped him return to his work.
Distinction Between Feelings
The star described accomplishment as a different experience from fulfillment or gratitude. He believes he is now closer to feeling fulfilled regarding his professional work. This shift in perspective came while speaking at the 70th edition of the festival.
New Role Details
Ali plays Latif, a devout Muslim contract killer, in the new thriller Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother. This project marks his second lead role after Swan Song. He faces dangerous obstacles including an Army veteran played by John Cho.
