Fans gather for sold out show

Promoters confirmed that the first concert in the Irish capital had sold out. Standing in queues outside the venue, excited fans praised the rapper's stance on the issue. The 3Arena was decorated with Palestinian flags and keffiyehs as young and old supporters gathered.

Proceeds go to charity causes

All ticket proceeds for the tour are directed toward charities supporting Palestine. Macklemore also donated his one million dollar salary from the previous tour to the same cause. The event marks the start of a three-show stint that will include dates in Paris and London.

Tour follows political speech controversy

The rapper was dropped from the Ed Sheeran Loop tour after giving political speeches at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. This decision came after venues notified promoters they would not allow a concert with him on the lineup. Macklemore dedicated his first show to love and liberation just over a month after the fallout.
