Performers celebrated the recipient

Stevie Nicks, Jackson Browne, and Melissa Etheridge performed live during the ceremony. Paul Anka and Pete Townshend also sent recorded video messages to the honoree. Anka sang a modified version of My Way while Townshend played an acoustic track.

Industry leaders attended the event

Executives from Warner Chappell, CAA, and other firms were present at the Pacific Design Center. Past recipients such as Mo Ostin and Lucian Grainge have received similar honors over fifty years. The Music Film and Entertainment Industry Group oversees this specific recognition program.

Funds support cancer research

The organization has raised more than 180 million dollars for medical studies through these galas. Mestel previously stated he aimed to raise ten million dollars for the campaign this year. The group continues its annual tradition of recognizing industry figures who contribute to charity.
