Partnership details and rights structure

Fox Entertainment Studios will hold first look rights to short-form series from Hartbeat subsidiaries Codeblack, Essence and Revolt. These brands possess a combined social following that exceeds 20 million people across their vertical drama content. Fox Entertainment Global plans to distribute the original vertical series worldwide after each title completes its initial platform run.

Content pipeline and launch strategy

The agreement launches with 25 live-action titles spanning thrillers, dramas and faith-based genres designed for audience testing. Stories that connect with viewers may advance into development for feature films and full-length television series later. A new Codeblack-branded channel on My Drama will host the original verticals before global distribution begins.

Strategic approach to storytelling

Fox aims to identify bold ideas in the vertical space and see what resonates with audiences in real time. This strategic method allows stories to grow into longer formats based on performance data from the short-form platform.
