Karen Bailey leaves Starz after bringing Outlander to the network
Starz executive vice president of original programming Karen Bailey is exiting the company at the end of May 2025.

Bailey declined a new producing deal
The network offered her a first-look producing deal before she left. She turned down the offer as she prepared to depart. Her departure coincides with Starz re-aligning its originals team around an owned-IP strategy.
Her tenure included major hits
Bailey joined Starz in 2006 and was responsible for bringing Outlander to the platform. She also oversaw The White Queen, The White Princess, and P-Valley during her time there. Kathryn Busby now leads the team as they broaden their offerings.
