Series premise and cast details

The show follows a large family six months after the death of their matriarch, Beverly. Rita Wilson plays Beverly while Ray Romano portrays her widower husband, Leo. Joshua Jackson and Kaley Cuoco will appear as their adult children, Kate and Cooper.

Jackson comments on show tone

Jackson described the series as involving sex, drugs and rock n roll because it is produced for HBO. He joked that he is getting too old for this type of content and must keep it together. The actor also noted he has to color his hair to look younger for the role.

Co-creators and production team

The series was co-created by Greg Berlanti, Robbie Rogers and Bash Doran. Jackson mentioned that he has known Berlanti since they were children. The show marks the first time Jackson has had to dye his hair.
