Early Life And Education
Rosenfield was born in Boston on July 18, 1929. He attended Roxbury Latin School and graduated from Dartmouth College in 1952 while working as a student DJ.
Career At CBS
He began his career in sales at the network in 1965 before becoming president of the television division. Rosenfield later served as executive vice president overseeing news, entertainment and sports divisions until he retired in 1985.
Post Retirement Work
After leaving CBS, he led John Blair Communications and founded JHR & Associates in 1999. His firm provided consulting services to both traditional and new media companies.
