IATSE appoints Jillian Arnold as first labor and technology intelligence officer
The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees named video engineer Jillian Arnold as its first labor and technology intelligence officer.
Arnold leads union technology efforts
She will guide how the organization handles new technologies and their impact on workers. Arnold previously chaired the union's artificial intelligence subcommittee during negotiations in 2024.
Historic appointment for the craft
In 2020 she became the first woman and video engineer to lead Local 695. Union President Matthew D. Loeb stated that she represents members on both sides of the border regarding public policy.
