Hirayasumi anime reveals cast and footage ahead of January 2027 NHK debut
Viz Media and Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions have released new footage, a key visual, and the lead voice cast for the Hirayasumi anime series premiering on Japan's NHK General TV in January 2027.

Main characters and voice actors
Uchida Yuma voices Hiroto, a 29-year-old part-timer living in the Asagaya neighborhood. Takahashi Mayu plays Natsumi, an 18-year-old student from Yam who has moved to Tokyo to study art.
Plot details and setting
The teaser follows Hiroto through his daily routine and sketches his bond with the elderly neighbor he calls Granny. The story also includes the arrival of Natsumi and features other residents like real estate agent Yomogi.
