Edward Berger and Matthew Libatique to receive awards at Evolution Mallorca Film Festival
Director Edward Berger and cinematographer Matthew Libatique are set to receive top honors at the 15th Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival in Palma between October 28 and November 4.
Berger and Libatique win major awards
Edward Berger will receive the Evolution Vision Award for his narrative excellence. Matthew Libatique is scheduled to get the Cinematography Icon Award for his artistic contributions. Both recipients are recognized alongside veteran actress Iris Berben during the event.
Festival schedule and special screenings
A special screening of the film Fatherland will take place in celebration of Berger. This showing is followed by a conversation between the director and producer Jeanne Tremsal. The opening gala honoring Iris Berben occurs on October 28, while the closing ceremony happens on November 4.
Jury president Marc Clotet returns
Actor and producer Marc Clotet will serve as jury president for this edition of the festival. He previously presented the Voz Dormida prize at the first event in 2012. The closing night gala and award ceremony will be held at the Teato Principal.
