Disney licenses movies and TV shows to Netflix starting October
Disney has agreed to license a selection of films and television series to Netflix for global streaming beginning in October.
Percy Jackson and Ice Age titles arrive
The first two seasons of the Percy Jackson series will appear on the platform on October 4. This release runs for three months before the third season premieres on Disney+. All five Ice Age movies will also become available worldwide at the same time.
Other current shows join the library
Current television series including Will Trent and Shifting Gears are included in this new agreement. Action drama Tracker seasons one through three will also be added to the service. Several other Disney and Pixar films will launch globally in early 2027.
Deal covers specific release windows
The licensing arrangement allows Netflix to access content for varying periods on a nonexclusive basis. Some titles are intended to promote upcoming theatrical releases or new seasons. Disney-branded titles remain exclusive to its own platforms outside of these specific deals.
