Chuck Varga, a founding vocalist for the heavy metal group Gwar, died on Friday at age 68 after battling cancer.

Gwar bassist Casey Orr confirmed the death in a statement shared to Facebook. He wrote that Varga passed peacefully with his wife Bambi holding his hand. Orr noted that the world is lesser for his leaving.
